Astrology is a format of the Akash. It is a method of reading the past, present, future, and our inner soul through our planetary system. It is vast and comprehensive enough to foretell our destiny, yet flexible enough to hold our unfolding of limitless potential. You can use Astrology for so, so many purposes, but for the sake of our scope, we will focus on the Astrology of Mental Health.

Sun: The Sun is emblematic of the Ego. The Ego in spirituality is often misunderstood. Many think we need to abolish the Ego in order to reach a sense of peace. However, in our human lifetime, we need to fulfill our Ego needs to heal and enlighten that aspect of being with Oneness. The Sun will show us how we want to light up in this lifetime, how we want to be seen. Very often, our Ego will be thwarted in achieving what it wants because the Ego may not be operating in harmony or alignment. By exploring the sign and house the Sun is in, as well as related aspects, we can seek ways to achieve the Sun’s needs without becoming a megalomaniac, self-obsessed, narcissistic, etc.

Moon: When I think of the Moon, I first thought of the feminine essence. But according to Huber Astrology, the association is not accurate. The Moon is representative of the Inner Child. The problem we have in our society is that women have not been allowed to step outside of the infantile realm. They have been forced to hold emotions for the men, to the detriment that women have been overwhelmed with and conditioned into emotional fragility and hysteria. The Moon or the Inner Child is within everyone. For men specifically, reconnected with the Moon will bring a balance and allow them to reclaim their inner Authority. For women, connecting with the Moon is recognizing that the Moon and Inner Child is but one aspect of them, and there is more. This goes to say that, with the Moon, we feel. Our first modes of connecting in life is feeling. It’s been said in Huber Astrology, that every form of therapy we do, is essentially working with and healing Moon wounds. When we explore the Moon, we ask ourselves these questions: What does our inner child need? What do we need to feel well in our lives?

Venus: Venus is important for two reasons. The first one is that it is the frequency of love and harmony. We are capable of holding it, but obviously we need to expand it in our collective. Increasing your felt frequency of love and your capacity to share it with others are ways to heal yourself and contribute to collective healing. The second reason is that Venus represents all the earthly pleasures that we can enjoy as humans. We come into this human incarnation to experience spirituality specifically through a human form. And there is a true exquisite blessing to this. Venus is abundance in all its forms: relational love, self-love, nature, food, material things, money, etc. Manifestation gurus discuss how in order t manifest what you want, you need to feel good within yourself. That’s because the abundance with yourself and the abundance you perceive to be outside of yourself are all one and the same. So when we look at Venus, we will target primarily on Self-Love.

Mars: Without the Mars factor, nothing will happen. I speak with joy to describe how we can use Mars. Mars energy is how we actualize and create the outcomes we want. Within all of your birth chart, there is swirling potential. There are your dreams, thoughts, feelings, and those would stay within your chart unless you harnessed your Mars energy to take action and bring your desires to physical reality. If you are having difficulty accomplishing your goals, then perhaps your Mars placement feels challenging to you or you have not yet embraced your particular action style. These are the clients that get me the most excited, because it means that once we help you harness your Mars potential, there is so much good that will pour out of you.

Mercury: Mercury can mean “I think”. Our cognition and our thought patterns have been a big focus of the mental health world since the popularization of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). As we see in the astrological landscape, it is an important, but still just one, aspect of our wellbeing. Mercury can show us how you think and how you form thoughts. It can show us what will overwhelm us with regards to sensitivity and sensory perception. A focus when we think about Mercury is not overstimulating or overwhelming our mind and our nervous system.

Jupiter: Phrases that come to mind for Jupiter are “I feel” and “God is in me”. Combining them, Jupiter is the areas and aspects where you feel God is in you. Jupiter indicates gifts and talents that each person possesses. I’m interested in cultivating the relationship we have with our natural talents and turning it into a conscious dynamic. Connecting our gifts back to Source helps us sync our experience and our desires back into co-creative alignment.

Saturn: As you go on living, you are probably very aware of Saturn. Saturn can describe to us our limitations, within ourselves and within this earthy experience. We experience hardships, challenges, and limitations in order to become mature. We must learn something in this life. Many people run away from listening and interfacing with Saturn because they fear shame and judgement. Saturn does not actually want to do those things because these planetary guides are here to support your highest evolution. However, Saturn helps you to face yourself and see yourself so you can level up.
